Ramajogaiah Sastry Praises Koratala Siva’s Creative Freedom Amidst Devara’s Success
Renowned lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry, known for his frequent collaborations with director Koratala Siva, recently celebrated the success of their latest project, Devara: Part 1, during a press meet. Expressing his joy over the film’s positive reception, Sastry highlighted the creative freedom that Koratala extends to his team, which he believes plays a crucial role in achieving such successful outcomes.
During the event, Sastry reflected on Koratala’s philosophy from a recent interview, where the director emphasized the significance of accountability in one’s work and the necessity for minimal external interference. “If we are given the freedom to do our work, the result will be like Devara,” he stated, underscoring the collaborative spirit that defines their partnership.
However, his comments were interpreted by some as a subtle critique of the creative constraints faced during the making of Acharya, a previous project where it was rumored that actor Chiranjeevi exerted considerable influence over the film’s creative decisions. Many speculated that Sastry’s remarks indicated a more liberating environment on the set of Devara, contributing to its success.
Realizing that his comments might have been misinterpreted, Ramajogaiah Sastry took to social media to clarify his stance. He emphasized, “It looks like my comments are misinterpreted. My intention is to convey that Koratala garu gives freedom to his team. I request everyone not to draw different meanings out of what I said.”
As Devara continues to garner acclaim, the collaborative relationship between Sastry and Koratala Siva remains a focal point of interest, highlighting the importance of creative freedom in the filmmaking process.
