Mumbai: Mumbai Police Findings on Road Rage Incident Involving Actor Raveena Tandon
The Mumbai Police, during their investigation into the road rage incident involving actor Raveena Tandon, have determined that her car did not collide with anyone, an official stated on Sunday.
A viral video had depicted a man claiming that Raveena’s driver hit his mother, and upon questioning, Raveena began assaulting her. He alleged the incident occurred while he was walking with his mother, sister, and niece near the actor’s residence.
According to a Khar police official, CCTV footage from the vicinity of the Khar-based building, where the incident took place, revealed that the women were near the actor’s car but were not struck by it.
The footage shows a group of locals accusing Raveena and her driver of assaulting three women.
The incident occurred on Carter Road in Bandra on Saturday night, police reported. While no FIR has been registered, a station diary entry has been made at the Khar police station, the official added.
There has been no statement from Raveena regarding the incident.
Her driver is alleged to have hit three persons with the vehicle, leading to an angry crowd and subsequent altercation, an official reported.
When Raveena exited her vehicle to address the crowd, she was reportedly pushed and hit. In the viral video, Raveena can be heard saying, “Please don’t hit me.”
In the video, the man claimed that the actress was inebriated and started assaulting the woman after stepping out of the car.
Following the incident, a group of people confronted Raveena and her driver inside the premises of a building on Carter Road.
The incident is said to have occurred after the driver reversed his car, according to the official. The viral video shows a woman complaining that Raveena and her driver assaulted her, causing her nose to bleed.
In light of the altercation, both parties visited the Khar police station and submitted written statements indicating no grievances against each other, the official concluded.
