Hyderabad: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Invites Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu for Meeting on Bifurcation Issues

In response to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s invitation to discuss unresolved matters stemming from the bifurcation act, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has invited Naidu to a face-to-face meeting on July 6 at Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Bhavan in Hyderabad.

In his letter, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated, “Regarding the face-to-face meeting proposed between us as Chief Ministers of the two Telugu states, I fully endorse your reflections. It is indeed imperative that we resolve all pending issues of the Bifurcation Act. An in-person meeting is essential to establish a robust foundation for mutual cooperation, exchange ideas, and better serve our respective populations.”

Reddy expressed his pleasure in inviting Naidu, on behalf of the people of Telangana and his administration, to the meeting scheduled for the afternoon of July 6 at Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Bhavan in Hyderabad.

He also extended his congratulations to Naidu on his recent success in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. In his letter, Reddy wrote, “I wish to congratulate you on your remarkable victory in the recently concluded Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. You have joined a distinguished group of political leaders in Independent India by taking the oath as Chief Minister for a fourth time. I wish you all the best for this term.”

Chandrababu Naidu had earlier written to the Telangana Chief Minister on Monday, proposing a face-to-face meeting on July 6 to address unresolved bifurcation issues. Naidu’s letter stated, “It has been 10 years since the bifurcation of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Numerous discussions have taken place concerning issues arising from the Reorganization Act, which are crucial for the welfare and progress of our states. It is imperative that we address these issues amicably with utmost diligence and resolve. In light of this, I propose that we meet at your place on July 6, Saturday afternoon.”
