Hyderabad: Senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy criticized the Congress leadership in Telangana for what she perceives as a neglect of governance in favor of engaging in verbal attacks against BRS Chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR).
Speaking at a gathering in RK Puram division, Serlingampally, in support of BRS Chevella candidate Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj on Friday, May 10, Reddy highlighted the consolidation of support for BRS in the region, particularly with the backing of Maheshwaram cadres.
“The Congress leadership has evidently diverted its attention from governance, focusing instead on disparaging leaders of other political factions. Their actions reflect a disregard for the responsibilities entrusted to them by the electorate, preferring symbolism over substantive governance. This betrayal of public trust is unmistakable. To restore effective governance under the leadership of KCR, it is imperative to lend unwavering support to Kasani Gnaneshwar,” remarked Reddy.
Telangana is poised for elections on May 13, as per the schedule set forth by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The conclusion of campaigning in the state is scheduled for 6 pm on May 11.
