Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been making headlines recently, drawing attention to both her personal and professional endeavors. Following her announcement of divorce from Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in January, Sania is currently residing in Dubai with her son, Izhaan Mirza Malik.
Career and Retirement of Sania Mirza
Sania Mirza, a winner of six Grand Slam titles, retired from professional tennis in February 2023. She recently disclosed one of the primary reasons behind her retirement during a recent interview.
In her own words, Sania stated, “Honestly, one of the main reasons to retire from tennis was to try to spend more time with my son. I am able to do that, which I really appreciate. I am still engaged in various activities, including managing tennis academies in India and Dubai, as well as participating in broadcasting and television appearances. However, I don’t keep myself overly busy as one of my primary motivations to retire was to be with my son.”
Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik were married in 2010 but separated last year. Shoaib announced his marriage to Lollywood actress Sana Javed in January of this year.

Looking forward, Sania is scheduled to appear on Kapil Sharma’s ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ on Netflix in the near future.
