Popular Telugu actor Sharwanand is set to headline a compelling new film titled ‘Bhogi’, under the direction of acclaimed filmmaker Sampath Nandi. Marking the 38th film of Sharwanand’s career, the project promises to be a grand period action drama, with production officially kicking off today.
The makers unveiled the title and concept of the film through an intense promotional video that instantly captured attention. Accompanied by the tagline: “Every drop of blood has a reason. Every festival has a purpose,” the reveal highlights the film’s serious tone and emotional depth, creating strong buzz across industry circles.
Set Against a 1960s Backdrop
Bhogi is reportedly set in the year 1960, near the Telangana–Maharashtra border, and will explore themes rooted in cultural and regional conflict, revenge, and honor. The film is being produced by Sri Sathya Sai Arts, a banner known for backing high-quality Telugu cinema.
