Manish Sisodia to Meet Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Following Resignation Announcement
New Delhi: Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia is scheduled to meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday, following Kejriwal’s announcement that he will resign from the chief minister’s position until he receives a “certificate of honesty” from the public.
The meeting will take place at Kejriwal’s official residence in the Civil Lines area. In addition, the AAP’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) is expected to convene at the same location later in the evening.
Kejriwal has stated that he and Sisodia would resume their roles as chief minister and deputy chief minister, respectively, only when the public affirms their honesty. This announcement has sparked speculation about potential successors, including Kejriwal’s wife Sunita, and ministers Atishi and Gopal Rai.
Following his release on bail from Tihar Jail in the excise policy case, Kejriwal plans to hold a meeting with AAP MLAs in the coming days to discuss his replacement.
