Hyderabad: Tragic Accident on Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway Claims Six Lives and Injures Four
Six individuals lost their lives, and four sustained injuries in a devastating accident early Thursday morning in Kodad mandal, Suryapet district. The incident occurred when a car, en route to Vijayawada, collided with a stationary lorry parked for repairs along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, as reported by Kodada Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sridhar Reddy.
Four of the injured passengers, with minor injuries, were promptly transported to a nearby government hospital for medical attention.
The family had opted for nighttime travel to avoid the intense summer heat during the day.
Preliminary reports suggest that the lorry driver failed to use indicators to alert other motorists, resulting in the tragic collision.
