Tragic Incident at Pushpa 2 Premiere: Stampede Claims Life at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theater
The much-awaited release of Pushpa 2: The Rule led to a massive surge in fans eager to watch the film, particularly when Allu Arjun made a surprise visit to the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad’s RTC Cross Roads. However, the celebrations turned tragic when an overwhelming crowd caused a stampede at the theater, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, and injuries to several others.
Revathi, a resident of Dilshuknagar, had attended the premiere with her husband and children. In the chaos, she fell unconscious and was rushed to Durgabhai Deshmukh Hospital, where she tragically passed away. Her children, aged 7 and 9, were also injured in the incident and are currently under medical observation.
As the crowd grew uncontrollable, the situation worsened, leading to further injuries. Authorities had to intervene with a lathi charge to manage the crowd. However, the theater management and movie unit have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
