“Kalki 2898 AD” Budget Breakdown Reveals High-profile Cast Remunerations
Since the announcement of the film “Kalki 2898 AD,” previously known as Project-K, there has been considerable speculation regarding the film’s budget, particularly due to its star-studded cast. Bollywood media is actively estimating the movie’s financials, leading to some striking revelations.
Superstar Prabhas is reportedly drawing a remuneration of approximately ₹150 crores for his role in the film. Leading lady Deepika Padukone is said to have commanded a fee of ₹20 crores, matching the remuneration for veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, who are also part of the project. Additionally, Disha Patani, another female lead in the film, is reported to have earned ₹5 crores. Including other cast members’ salaries, the total expenditure on actor remuneration is estimated to be around ₹250 crores.
Industry insiders suggest that the overall production budget for the film ranges between ₹500-600 crores. While Prabhas’s star power is expected to ensure a return on investment, producer Ashwini Dutt and director Nag Ashwin appear to have placed significant trust in the film’s content. Given the positive reception to the teasers, “Kalki 2898 AD” seems poised to justify its substantial investment.
