Adivi Sesh, the distinguished Telugu actor, has revealed the compelling motivation behind his decision to change his name. Originally known as Adivi Sunny Chandra, he recounted being subjected to playful teasing by his peers in the United States due to the similarity of his name with Bollywood actress Sunny Leone.
“When I was studying in the US, my friends used to tease me and liken me to ‘Sunny Leone’ because of our names’ resemblance,” Sesh disclosed. “I wanted to distance myself from that association, so I opted to adopt the name Adivi Sesh,” the actor explained. His aim was to break away from these stereotypes and establish himself as a versatile performer. During that period, Sunny Leone’s prominence as an adult actress in the USA was considerable, further influencing his decision.
Additionally, it was noted that around the same time, there was a popular orange drink named Sunny Delight in the USA, which also contributed to his name change. Today, with acclaimed films like “Major” and “Goodachari,” Adivi Sesh has garnered widespread popularity across India and anticipates further success with upcoming projects such as “Dacoit.”
