Supreme Court Postpones Hearing on Cancellation of Naidu’s Bail in Skill Development Case
The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on a petition seeking the cancellation of bail granted to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development case. The Andhra Pradesh High Court had earlier granted Naidu bail, a decision which was challenged by the Andhra Pradesh CID in the Supreme Court during the tenure of the previous YSRCP government.
Representing the government, Senior Counsel Mukul Rohatgi appeared virtually and argued in favor of canceling the bail. He informed the court that a decision on the petition would be made soon but requested additional time. Rohatgi cited his inability to attend the hearing in person, as he was not in Delhi, and asked for an extension until January.
Following this request, the Supreme Court agreed to adjourn the case and scheduled the next hearing for the second week of January. The petition remains under review as legal proceedings continue.
