Suriya Begins New Journey with Venky Atluri; Film to Begin Shooting on June 9
Following the success of his recent film Retro on OTT, Tamil superstar Suriya, who enjoys a strong fan base in both Kollywood and Tollywood, is all set to begin work on his next project — a family entertainer directed by Venky Atluri.
The upcoming film, produced by Naga Vamsi, marks a much-anticipated collaboration between the acclaimed Tollywood filmmaker and the versatile actor. Ahead of the shoot, the team visited the Palani Murugan Temple, where Suriya, Venky Atluri, and Naga Vamsi were seen seeking blessings for the success of the project. A photo from the visit has since gone viral on social media, sparking excitement among fans.
The film is scheduled to go on floors on June 9, with G.V. Prakash Kumar composing the music. Rising Malayalam actress Mamita Baiju, known for her charming screen presence, has been roped in as the female lead.
Billed as a heartfelt family entertainer, the film promises to showcase Suriya in a refreshing new avatar, and marks another cross-industry collaboration that continues to blur the lines between regional film industries in South India.
