Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has introduced a new policy linking the annual bonus to employees’ compliance with the Work from Office (WFO) guidelines.
Under the updated policy, employees with less than 60% attendance will not be eligible for the annual bonus.
Furthermore, only employees with a WFO compliance rate of 85% or above will receive 100% of the predetermined bonus amount. Those with a compliance rate between 75% and 85% will be entitled to 75% of the bonus, while employees with a compliance rate of 60% to less than 75% will receive 50% of the bonus.
The policy notification states, “The TCS India Policy Working Hours and the TCS India (BPS) Policy Working Hours define the working hours for the organization, which all employees are expected to adhere to at all times from TCS-designated work premises. This includes TCS offices, client locations, or any other TCS-designated physical location as specified in this document.”
The notification further elaborates, “In response to the global pandemic, the organization had previously implemented temporary measures to facilitate remote working. With the social environment returning to normalcy, these measures have been discontinued, and it is expected that all associates ensure their physical presence at the workplace.”
