CM Revanth Reddy Criticizes BJP, Defends Constitution at Mhow Rally
In a fiery rally at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the ruling party of undermining the Indian Constitution and the reservation system. The rally, aimed at protecting constitutional values, saw the presence of senior Congress leaders and thousands of party workers.
CM Reddy alleged that top BJP leaders were conspiring to alter the Constitution for their political benefit, claiming, “The BJP has consistently mocked the Constitution and attempted to remove reservations from it. They aspire to impose their own version of the Constitution, but we will not let this happen.” He stressed Congress’s firm stance against any tampering with the Constitution and vowed to protect the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the rights of marginalized communities.
The rally marked the launch of Congress’s nationwide campaign, ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan,’ spearheaded by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge. The campaign aims to celebrate the legacies of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, and the Indian Constitution while countering what Congress views as the BJP’s attacks on democratic values.
The event, held at the birthplace of Dr. Ambedkar, was attended by over one lakh Congress workers and marked a historic show of strength. Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari, along with other senior leaders, expressed determination to resist any attempts to weaken the Constitution.
Patwari said, “Today, from Dr. Ambedkar’s birthplace, we raise our voices against the insults to his legacy. The rally signifies our commitment to preserving the Constitution and fighting against any injustice.”
The rally highlighted the Congress party’s resolve to protect the core values of India’s democratic foundation, signaling the start of a broader campaign to defend constitutional rights and resist what they see as the BJP’s authoritarian tendencies.
