Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy Congratulates State Athletes at Paris Olympics 2024
Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his heartfelt congratulations to the state athletes competing in the Paris Olympics 2024 during a series of phone calls on Monday. His conversations were marked by praise for their impressive performances in the early rounds of their respective events.
Chief Minister Reddy reached out to several prominent athletes, including boxer Nikhat Zareen, table tennis player Sreeja Akula, and badminton star P.V. Sindhu. He commended their exceptional achievements and expressed his admiration for their dedication and skill. Nikhat Zareen, a two-time world champion, advanced to the quarterfinals of the women’s 50 kg boxing category after a decisive victory over Germany’s Maxi Carina Kloetzer. In table tennis, Sreeja Akula progressed to the round of 32 with a commanding 4-0 win against Sweden’s Christina Kallberg. P.V. Sindhu, a star shuttler and two-time Olympic medallist, commenced her campaign with a win over Maldives’ Fathimath Abdul Razzaq.
The Chief Minister also spoke with shooter Esha Singh, who is preparing for her event. He wished her continued success and hoped she would deliver an outstanding performance in the upcoming rounds.
Earlier, Chief Minister Reddy had congratulated shooter Manu Bhaker on her historic achievement of winning a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event, making her the first Indian woman shooter to secure an Olympic medal.
“We are immensely proud of your achievements,” the Chief Minister affirmed. “We hope all our athletes maintain their stellar performance and bring further glory to our nation.”
