Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Honors Padma Shri Awardees with Rs 25 Lakh Each
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended commendations on Wednesday to five distinguished individuals from the state who were conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award. Each recipient was presented with a cheque amounting to Rs 25 lakh in recognition of their exceptional contributions to various fields.
The recipients of this esteemed honor include Gaddam Sammaiah, recognized for his mastery in the traditional folk theatre art form Yakshagana; Dasari Kondappa, celebrated for his proficiency in playing the indigenous rural stringed instrument Burraveena; Velu Anandachari, renowned for his craftsmanship in creating traditional temple sculptures; Kurella Vithalacharya, acclaimed poet and writer; and Ketawat Somlal, dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community.
In response to this gesture from the Chief Minister, the awardees expressed their gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon them, as per an official release.
