Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Leads Delegation to Davos for WEF Annual Meeting
Hyderabad, Jan 20: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his delegation have embarked on a four-day visit to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting. Following a productive three-day trip to Singapore, the delegation arrived in Davos, where they will engage with leaders of national and multinational companies to attract investments to the state.
The delegation, which includes Minister for Information Technology, Industry, and Commerce D. Sridhar Babu, aims to showcase Telangana’s immense investment potential on the global stage. Their focus will be on highlighting Hyderabad’s growth prospects and the broad opportunities for investments in both the city and the broader state.
During their final day in Singapore on Sunday, the delegation held discussions with executives from prominent companies and representatives of the Singapore Business Federation. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, these meetings centered around various policies, opportunities, and the potential for investing in Telangana and Hyderabad.
Key engagements included talks with Pradeep Biswas, Founder and CEO of the Indian Ocean Group; Lim Him Chaun, Country Head at DBS; Amit Sharma, Group Head of Telecom at DBS; Gautam Banerjee, Senior Managing Director and Chairman of Blackstone Singapore; Peng Wei Tan, Senior Managing Director, Real Estate at Blackstone Singapore; and Omar Shahzad, CEO of Meinhardt Group. The delegation also interacted with several global firms and investors, strengthening Telangana’s ties with the international business community.
A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Telangana’s Young India Skill University and the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE) for a partnership in skill development. Additionally, STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited (STT GDC India) signed an MoU worth ₹3,500 crore to set up a data center campus in Hyderabad’s Future City. CapitaLand Group, a global leader in real estate development, also announced an investment of ₹450 crore to develop a 1 million square foot IT park in Hyderabad.
During his time in Singapore, CM Revanth Reddy also gained valuable insights into best practices for river rejuvenation, water management, and urban infrastructure development, particularly through his visit to the Singapore River. He shared his observations on the city-state’s remarkable efforts in preserving heritage buildings while developing iconic modern structures and advanced infrastructure. Drawing inspiration from Singapore’s success, the Chief Minister expressed his commitment to rejuvenating Hyderabad’s Musi River.

The Telangana delegation’s visit to Davos is expected to further strengthen the state’s position as a leading investment destination, with plans to attract significant international investments in the coming years.
