Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress unveiled a new Lok Sabha election advertisement on Thursday, May 2nd, taking aim at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government, alleging biased treatment towards Gujarat, the native state of the Prime Minister, while accusing neglect towards Telangana.
Depicting the Prime Minister as a monarch presiding over the “Delhi Darbar,” the advertisement underscores the Congress’ assertion of apathy and inattention towards Telangana, despite the state’s significant contributions to the nation’s overall tax revenue.
Titled “Gadidha Guddu” (donkey egg) in Telugu, symbolizing “zero” in the language, the advertisement serves as a vehicle for the party’s message.
This campaign aligns with the Karnataka Congress government’s “Chombu” initiative, which critiques the BJP-led Central government for allegedly failing to allocate funds designated for drought relief in Karnataka.
The video urges voters to hold the BJP accountable for its perceived stance towards Telangana and opt for the Congress instead.
Telangana is scheduled to hold elections on May 13, as per the timetable set forth by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
