Telangana Finance Department Issues Budget Release Orders for Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme
The Telangana state finance department has issued two key budget release orders (BROs) on Wednesday, August 21, as part of the state’s financial planning for the fiscal year 2024-25.
In a notable move, the Congress government has allocated Rs 1,450 crore to the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. This initiative provides financial support to brides from economically disadvantaged backgrounds during their marriage.
Under Government Order No. 120, the BC Welfare Department has been directed to implement monthly expenditure limits for the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. This measure is intended to ensure adherence to the allocated budget and optimize the scheme’s financial management for the current fiscal year.
