Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Announces Phase I of Integrated Schools Initiative, Focuses on Education and Skills Development
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government plans to complete Phase I of the integrated schools initiative by the next academic year. The initiative, which aims to improve the education infrastructure in the state, involves constructing schools across each assembly constituency on plots of 20-25 acres.
Phase II of the project is set to launch on November 14, coinciding with Children’s Day, and will be marked by the presence of 15,000 students. The announcement was made during the Chief Minister’s engagement with students from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule social welfare hostels, schools, and colleges in the Vyra and Madhira constituencies.
Focus on Quality Education, Healthcare, and Employment
During his address, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the Telangana government’s commitment to providing quality education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for all. Highlighting recent developments in the education sector, he noted that 21,000 teachers had been promoted and 11,062 new teacher positions had been filled across the state. This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in Telangana.
Combating Drug Abuse and Promoting National Responsibility
Addressing the concerns of students, the Chief Minister spoke about the pressing issue of drug addiction, urging students to take an active stand against the menace. He encouraged them to report any information related to drug trafficking to the authorities through the Dial-100 helpline.
In his message to students, Revanth Reddy also emphasized the importance of combining academic qualifications with relevant skills to improve employment prospects. He encouraged students to take an active role in nation-building efforts and contribute to society’s growth.
Advancing Skills Development and Employment
As part of his push for skills development, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of the Young India Skills University, which will provide skill training opportunities for students and unemployed individuals. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic education and the skills required in the job market.
In addition, Revanth Reddy revealed that the state is collaborating with Tata Technologies Limited to transform Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), providing advanced vocational training to students in cutting-edge fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation.
Promoting Sports and Physical Education
Recognizing the importance of physical education and sports in the overall development of students, the Chief Minister also announced plans to establish a sports university in the state. This initiative is aimed at encouraging young people to participate in sports and pursue athletic careers, while also fostering a culture of health and fitness.
