Telangana Government Approves Coaching Classes and Establishes Academic Guidance Cell for Junior Colleges
Hyderabad: In a significant move to bolster the academic support for students in government junior colleges, the Telangana government has authorized the Department of Higher Education to initiate coaching classes across the state. These classes are designed to assist students in preparing for major competitive exams such as the Engineering Agricultural and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
The decision, communicated through an order by Principal Secretary of Education, Burra Venkatesham, marks the commencement of the coaching classes in the current academic year. This initiative is expected to provide targeted preparation and enhance students’ chances of excelling in these crucial exams.
Additionally, the government has announced the creation of an Academic Guidance, Training, and Placement Cell, as per a recent order. This new cell will undertake a range of responsibilities including the preparation of the academic calendar, conducting annual academic audits, and maintaining detailed databases of staff, students, and courses for each college.
The cell will also play a pivotal role in overseeing the introduction of new courses, curriculum development, and content preparation, ensuring that academic standards are upheld and that students receive high-quality education throughout government institutions.
