Telangana Government Launches ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’ Scheme to Empower Unemployed Youth
The Telangana government has officially announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed youth under the ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’ scheme, effective today. The program is designed to support youth interested in pursuing self-employment by offering loans ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. This initiative will be implemented with the collaboration of the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare Departments, ensuring that it reaches a wide range of beneficiaries across the state.
The government has set a deadline for eligible candidates to apply by April 5 to avail the benefits under this scheme. With a total budget allocation of ₹6,000 crore, the scheme aims to assist at least five lakh beneficiaries statewide, fostering entrepreneurship and providing financial support to those in need.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially launch the application process today, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a significant step toward addressing unemployment and promoting self-reliance among the youth of Telangana.
Yesterday, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, held a review meeting to ensure the smooth implementation of the scheme. They discussed the necessary steps and strategies to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the intended recipients effectively.
This initiative is expected to create ample opportunities for young entrepreneurs, contribute to economic growth, and pave the way for a more self-sufficient and prosperous Telangana.
