Final Phase of EAPCET Counseling: Only 5,019 Engineering Seats Remain
Hyderabad – As the second phase of Engineering, Agricultural, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) counseling concludes, nearly 95% of the seats have been allocated, leaving just 5,019 engineering seats available for the final phase. The technical education department reports that of the 86,509 seats across 175 colleges in Telangana, 81,490 were filled by the end of the second phase on Wednesday.
The most competitive fields are Computer Science and IT, where 98% of the 61,329 seats have been filled, leaving only 1,156 seats available. Electronics and Electrical Engineering has seen 89% of its seats allocated, with 14,895 out of 16,573 filled. Civil, Mechanical, and related courses have reached 75.2% occupancy, with 5,571 of 7,429 seats taken. In specialized areas like Chemical, Biotechnology, and Mining Engineering, 831 out of 1,178 seats have been filled.
Candidates who wish to cancel their provisional allotments must do so by August 7. To finalize their admissions, they need to provide an online undertaking through Degree Online Services Telangana and report in person to their allotted colleges between August 15 and 16. Failure to report will lead to the cancellation of provisional allotments, according to Sridevasena, Commissioner of Technical Education.
