Hyderabad: TSRTC Officials Honor Bus Crew for Life-Saving Actions
Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Managing Director VC Sajjanar has recognized the exemplary efforts of a bus driver and conductor who played a crucial role in saving a teenage student’s life. The incident, which occurred on September 9, involved a bus from the Bhainsa depot traveling from Bhainsa to Nirmal.
During the journey, a twelve-year-old student named Kiran experienced severe chest pain near Dilawarpur village. Conductor G Gangadhar and driver B Gangadhar promptly responded by halting the bus and providing immediate first aid. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, they proceeded to the Narsapur Primary Health Centre, where Kiran received medical treatment. The attending physician credited the timely intervention of the TSRTC staff with saving the student’s life.
In recognition of their heroic actions, Sajjanar, alongside TSRTC Joint Director Apoorva Rao and other officials, honored the bus crew at the Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The driver and conductor were presented with cash prizes in acknowledgment of their quick thinking and dedication.
Sajjanar praised the TSRTC staff, highlighting their commitment not only to timely passenger transport but also to providing critical assistance during emergencies. The event underscores the vital role of public transport personnel in ensuring passenger safety and well-being.
