For an extended period, the Tollywood box office has faced challenges in generating substantial revenue. Regrettably, inadequate planning led to the absence of major film releases during the recent summer season. Consequently, theatre management has encountered difficulties in generating revenue streams. In response to this situation, the Telangana Theatres Association has made the decision to temporarily close single screens across the state for a period of ten days. The combination of ongoing elections and the Indian Premier League (IPL) has further contributed to a decline in new theatrical releases, reducing entertainment options for audiences.
