Kishan Reddy Warns of Financial Crisis in Telangana, Blames Congress Government
Union Minister Kishan Reddy has raised alarms over a potential financial crisis in Telangana, attributing the state’s deteriorating financial situation to the Congress government’s policies. Speaking at a BJP rally at Saroor Nagar Stadium, Reddy criticized the Congress for its failure to fulfill key election promises, more than a year after coming to power.
Reddy accused the Congress-led state government of making unrealistic promises during the election campaign and then failing to deliver on them. He specifically highlighted unfulfilled commitments such as farm loan waivers, one-tola gold for women, and unemployment benefits, which were central to the party’s election manifesto.
The Union Minister further claimed that the state’s financial condition is so dire that even paying salaries to government employees has become a challenge. “The Congress government has failed to address the pressing issues facing the people of Telangana, and the state is now grappling with a severe financial crisis,” he said.
In response to what he called “anti-people governance,” the BJP has launched a campaign under the banner “6 Lies, 66 Frauds,” targeting the Congress government’s broken promises. Reddy’s remarks are part of the BJP’s ongoing efforts to highlight the alleged mismanagement by the ruling Congress party and to galvanize support ahead of the upcoming elections.
