Jason Sanjay, Son of Thalapathy Vijay, Set to Direct His First Feature Film with Lyca Productions
Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, has decided to carve his own path in the film industry, choosing to pursue a career in direction rather than acting. After making his directorial debut with the 13-minute short film Pull The Trigger in 2023, Jason is now ready to take on a full-length feature film. His first project will be with the renowned production house, Lyca Productions, which recently announced the collaboration.
The film, which is scheduled to begin production in December 2024, will star popular actor Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. Known for his work in both Telugu and Tamil cinema, Sundeep is expected to bring his flair to the project, while the talented music composer S.S. Thaman will be onboard to create the soundtrack. The cast and crew are largely finalized, with several well-known names set to be a part of the film, though official details are yet to be announced.
With Lyca Productions backing the project, expectations are high for the film’s official launch next month. Sundeep Kishan is set to begin shooting once he wraps up his current commitments, including the much-anticipated Majaka, directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, slated for release during Sankranthi 2025. This collaboration marks a significant step for Jason Sanjay as he ventures into the world of feature films, with fans eager to see the impact of his fresh approach to filmmaking.
