Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thandel’ Receives Critical Acclaim and Shatters Box Office Records

Upon its release, Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, has garnered widespread praise for its compelling mix of love, action, and emotion. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is receiving rave reviews, with Naga Chaitanya’s portrayal of Thandel Raju being particularly lauded. Critics and audiences alike are hailing it as his best performance to date, highlighting the depth and nuance he brings to the character.

The film has also made an impressive impact at the box office, quickly becoming Naga Chaitanya’s biggest opener by a wide margin. In just 24 hours, Thandel sold an astounding 227.7K tickets on BookMyShow, setting a new record for Indian films on the platform. As of now, more than 400K tickets have been sold, solidifying its place as a major hit.

In international markets, Thandel is making waves as well. In the USA, the film has already surpassed $400K in earnings and is rapidly approaching the $500K mark. On its opening day, the film grossed an impressive 19.60 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Tollywood release of February.

What’s even more remarkable is the consistent growth in audience attendance with each show, as Thandel continues to surpass expectations. The film’s occupancy has even outpaced that of some high-budget blockbusters, further bolstering its success.

With such a strong opening, Thandel is poised to continue its impressive box office run. Early projections indicate that day two will see even higher numbers, making it one of the standout hits of the year.
