Following the success of a ₹20 crore grossing film, most leading actors typically anticipate venturing into mass-oriented projects with the aspiration of achieving blockbuster status, surpassing the ₹100 crore milestone. However, several star heroes and Tier-2 protagonists are currently in a state of indecision regarding their next ventures.
Actor Ram Pothineni, known for swiftly lining up projects, encountered an unexpected delay with his film “Double iSmart,” initially slated for release in January of this year. With only 20% of the shooting pending, the project experienced a three-month hiatus. While Ram contemplates his next move, industry insiders suggest he is actively seeking a director adept at handling mass cinema.
Similarly, Allu Arjun is currently occupied with completing his commitments for “Pushpa 2.” Despite being approached by prominent directors like Atlee, Trivikram, and Boyapati, he has yet to finalize his next project. Anticipating a transition to a larger-scale mass film following the release of “Pushpa: The Rule,” Arjun remains undecided due to reservations about the narrative presented by Boyapati.
This trend extends beyond these actors, with numerous other leading heroes withholding their decisions on future projects, opting to wait for the ideal mass-oriented script.
