Pawan Kalyan’s Victory in Pithapuram: A Promising Start to Constituency Development
Pithapuram: Pawan Kalyan’s recent electoral triumph in Pithapuram holds profound significance, marking a personal redemption after the disappointment of the 2019 elections. Securing a remarkable majority of over 70,000 votes, Kalyan has pledged to transform the constituency and fulfill the trust placed in him by the voters.
In alignment with his pre-election commitments, Kalyan is actively overseeing developmental initiatives in Pithapuram. Reports indicate that in just the past five days, three important administrative files have been processed, signaling a proactive approach to governance.
As the newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister and local MLA, Kalyan has directed the District Collector to conduct thorough inspections of essential facilities such as schools, hospitals, hostels, and sanitation services across 52 village panchayats within the constituency. The findings from this assessment are expected to pave the way for significant improvements in the rural areas of Pithapuram.
One of the immediate concerns addressed by Kalyan was the dire situation at Gollaprolu Boys’ Primary School, where 449 students had been deprived of safe drinking water for the past four years. Utilizing Rs 4 lakh from Corporate Social Responsibility funds, Kalyan facilitated the installation of a dedicated pipeline to ensure access to clean water for the students.
Additionally, Kalyan has taken steps to resolve a long-standing issue regarding a dumping yard in Gollaprolu village, which has caused considerable inconvenience for residents. He has submitted proposals from the District Collector to the government aimed at relocating the dumping site. Plans include reducing the dumping area from 1.5 acres to 0.25 acres, thereby cleaning up the surroundings and reopening the main road obstructed by waste, which has hindered access to the local government hospital for years.
