Annamayya District, Andhra Pradesh:
In a tragic accident early Sunday morning, a car carrying five men from Karnataka plunged into a well near Balamuvaripalli village in Peeleru mandal, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The victims were en route to Peeleru for catering work.
The deceased have been identified as Shivanna, Lokesh, and Gangulayya, all residents of Chintamani in Karnataka. Two other occupants, Sunil and Tippareddy, miraculously survived the crash and managed to escape the submerged vehicle.
According to preliminary reports, the group was traveling through an agricultural area when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the car veering off the road and plunging into a deep well.
Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash and attempted to assist before authorities arrived. Rescue teams were able to retrieve the bodies from the well, while the survivors were provided immediate medical attention.
The Peeleru Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are also examining whether poor visibility or road conditions may have contributed to the incident.
The accident has cast a pall of grief over both the local community and the hometown of the victims in Chintamani.
