Trump Vows to Strengthen US-India Ties and Condemns Violence Against Minorities
New Delhi – Former US President Donald Trump, currently running for the Republican presidential nomination, emphasized his commitment to enhancing the United States’ partnership with India and expressed his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a recent post on X, he conveyed his Diwali greetings, stating, “Happy Diwali to All. I hope the Festival of Lights leads to the Victory of Good over Evil!”
Trump’s message included a strong condemnation of the violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. He described the situation as “barbaric” and asserted that such acts of violence would have “never happened” during his presidency.
In his remarks, Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden for allegedly neglecting the concerns of Hindus both globally and in the United States. He pledged to “make America Strong Again” and to protect Hindu Americans from what he termed the “anti-religion agenda of the radical left.”
The former President also highlighted his past economic policies, claiming that under his administration, he had successfully cut taxes, reduced regulations, and revitalized American energy, resulting in what he called “the greatest economy in history.” He concluded with a promise to replicate this success, stating, “We will do it again, bigger and better than ever before — and we will Make America Great Again.”
Trump’s statements reflect his strategy to connect with the Indian-American community and reinforce his foreign policy stance, particularly in relation to India, which he has described as a vital ally.
