Abu Dhabi: The Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued a notification on Thursday, May 9, regarding high-risk vulnerabilities affecting users of Google Chrome, emphasizing the importance of promptly updating browsers.
In its latest security advisory shared via Instagram, the council highlighted, “Google has released security updates addressing multiple high-severity vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser.”
“These vulnerabilities possess the potential to enable an attacker to execute malicious code remotely on a victim’s device within the context of the logged-in user. This could result in data compromise, malware installation, or unauthorized user impersonation.”
The council strongly recommended users to update their Chrome browser to the latest version as a preventive measure against potential security breaches, data leaks, or other malicious activities.
