Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Endorsement of CM Ramesh Draws Controversy
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s public endorsement of businessman CM Ramesh’s candidacy for Anakapalle MP has sparked significant criticism and resurfaced past controversies. Detractors have raised historical issues involving the late TDP leader Paritala Ravi and alleged injustices faced by the Mega brothers.
Claims suggesting a dispute between Chiranjeevi and Paritala Ravi over a land-grab incident, resulting in an altercation involving Pawan Kalyan, lack substantiating evidence. An article published by the Nellore-based newspaper Zameen Raithu previously propagated this narrative. Critics now accuse Chiranjeevi of prioritizing a 500-square-yard plot over supporting Pawan Kalyan during the alleged confrontation. However, these allegations appear baseless.
Chiranjeevi does own a plot adjacent to Paritala Ravi’s residence in Jubilee Hills. Following a bomb attack targeting Paritala Ravi, a security camp was established on Chiranjeevi’s land. The issue was subsequently resolved without any conflict between the two parties.
Insiders have consistently asserted that Chiranjeevi and Paritala Ravi never had a direct encounter. Paritala Ravi’s authorized biography, penned by a journalist commissioned by his family, discredits the purported altercation between Pawan and Paritala as a fabricated tale aimed at portraying Paritala Ravi as a land grabber.
Chiranjeevi’s legal representative successfully contested the claims made by Zameen Raithu, while Pawan Kalyan pursued legal recourse against an English newspaper that echoed the same narrative. The English publication clarified that its coverage was speculative, emphasizing its inability to verify the claims.
The resurgence of these unfounded allegations appears to be a reaction to Chiranjeevi’s recent endorsement of Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu, aiming to tarnish the actor’s reputation.
