Former Gannavaram MLA and YSR Congress Party leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi was rushed from Vijayawada district jail to a hospital late Tuesday after he reportedly experienced severe breathing difficulties. Prompt action by prison authorities ensured immediate medical attention, and Vamsi is now under observation at a local hospital.
The sudden health episode triggered an outpouring of concern from YSRCP cadres, who began arriving at the hospital in large numbers after news of his hospitalization spread. Party members and supporters are closely monitoring his condition and have urged authorities to ensure proper treatment.
Just a day earlier, the SC/ST Special Court in Vijayawada had granted bail to Vallabhaneni Vamsi in connection with the high-profile Satyavardhan kidnapping case. Along with him, four other accused in the same case were also granted bail. However, Vamsi remained in judicial custody due to his alleged involvement in a separate case related to the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram.
The incident has once again spotlighted the ongoing political tensions in Andhra Pradesh, with party leaders voicing concerns about Vamsi’s health and the need for humane treatment during legal proceedings.
Authorities have not yet issued an official update on his condition, but sources indicate he is stable and receiving appropriate care.
