Tension Over Pawan Kalyan’s Film Delays: Hari Hara Veeramallu and OG Impacted
The release of Hari Hara Veeramallu has been delayed once again, now set for March 28, creating frustration among fans. However, it’s not just the delayed release date causing concern, but also the ongoing hold-up in completing the shoot of Pawan Kalyan’s other project, OG. While director Jyothi Krishna resumed shooting for Veeramallu without Pawan Kalyan, it’s reported that some patchwork shots with the actor will be required before the film can be finalized. If everything goes according to plan, Veeramallu might release by the end of April or early May. However, further delays could push the release to July, creating a bigger gap.
The issues surrounding these delays are compounded by the fact that Veeramallu must be completed before OG can continue its shoot. This is due to the fact that the two films feature different hairstyles for Pawan Kalyan, making it impossible to film both projects at the same time. While the release of Veeramallu is critical for completing OG, the latter film’s progress remains stalled.
Interestingly, reports have emerged that OG has secured a deal with Netflix for a theatrical release this year. The streaming platform’s rights for the film were reportedly sold after agreeing on a set rate. A delay into 2026 could result in a reduction of the agreed-upon amount for the film, pushing the team to aim for a release around Christmas if the Dussehra or Diwali release windows are missed.
Amid these concerns, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, doesn’t face as much pressure for now. Shankar has already met with Ram Pothineni and Balakrishna to finalize another project, but the uncertainty surrounding Veeramallu and OG has stalled progress. Sources indicate that Pawan Kalyan is expected to make a decision this month regarding which films to allocate his dates to, which could bring clarity to the ongoing confusion.
