Vijay Deverakonda recently expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hindi-speaking audience for their overwhelming support of his film “Dear Comrade.” Directed by Bharat Kamma and starring Deverakonda alongside Rashmika Mandanna, the film originally released in 2019 to mixed reviews. However, its Hindi-dubbed version has become a massive hit on YouTube, amassing an astonishing 400 million views.
Reflecting on this unexpected success, Deverakonda shared his joy on social media, recalling the initial disappointment upon the film’s release. “In 2019, we were saddened by the response on the day of the release, but even today we love this movie. ‘Dear Comrade’ is a story that I love,” he wrote. Rashmika Mandanna echoed his sentiments by sharing his post on her Instagram story, captioning it, “400 million love. ‘Dear Comrade’ is the most special movie ever for me.”
Despite “Dear Comrade” not meeting initial box office expectations, the on-screen chemistry between Vijay and Rashmika left a lasting impression on fans. Their previous collaboration, “Geetha Govindam,” was a blockbuster hit, solidifying their status as a beloved on-screen couple.
Currently, both actors are busy with multiple projects. Vijay Deverakonda is working on three films, while Rashmika Mandanna has five films in the pipeline, promising to continue entertaining their enthusiastic fan base.
