Director Vishnu Vardhan, known for his work in Kollywood and Telugu cinema, recently expressed his interest in collaborating with Akira Nandan, the son of actor Pawan Kalyan, should the opportunity arise. Vishnu, who made his Telugu debut with Panjaa starring Pawan Kalyan, shared his thoughts during a press meet for his upcoming film Premistava, set to release on January 30.
Amid rumors about the possibility of Vishnu directing a film with Akira—either as a sequel to Panjaa or a new project—he explained that he does not plan projects in advance, emphasizing that the right timing is crucial. “Even Panjaa wasn’t something that was pre-planned,” he noted.
Vishnu also addressed why he hasn’t directed another Telugu film since Panjaa. While he mentioned receiving offers, he explained his focus on Bollywood commitments and the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. He jokingly added, “If I don’t make another Telugu film, my mother won’t let me off the hook.”
Vishnu’s remarks have sparked further excitement about potential future collaborations with Akira, especially given the success of his previous work with Pawan Kalyan.
