Young India Skill University to Launch New Skill-Based Courses in High-Demand Sectors
Hyderabad: The Young India Skill University (YISU) is poised to introduce four new skill-based courses this October, strategically focusing on sectors that are experiencing significant job growth. The courses will target the logistics, medical, health, and pharmacy fields, which have shown a notable increase in employment opportunities.
Among the new offerings, two short-term programs in logistics—Warehousing Executive and Key Consignor Executive—will cater to the rising demand within the logistics industry. Furthermore, YISU will unveil the FINE (Finishing Skills in Nursing Excellence) program in collaboration with Apollo Medskills Limited, aiming to boost the employability of nursing professionals. In addition, a partnership with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories will result in a six-month apprenticeship program called the Dr. Reddy’s Pharma Associate Course.
Vice-Chancellor VLVSS Subba Rao announced that details regarding admissions and eligibility criteria will be made available after the Dasara festival on October 12.
To bolster the logistics courses, Redington, a global logistics solutions provider, has invested Rs 7 crore to establish a logistics lab at YISU’s temporary campus, providing students with valuable practical training opportunities.
The Vice-Chancellor assured that students enrolling in these skill development courses will have guaranteed campus placements, with graduates expected to secure jobs offering salaries ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 per month.
