Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee Threatens Agitation Over Immersion Arrangements
Hyderabad: The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee has issued a warning of a potential agitation if the Telangana government fails to ensure adequate arrangements for the immersion of Ganesh idols in Hyderabad. Dr. R. Shashidhar, Secretary of the committee, expressed frustration over the lack of progress despite previous meetings with government officials.
“We will initiate a massive protest in the city if the necessary arrangements are not in place by this afternoon,” Shashidhar declared. The committee has announced that all Ganesh pandal organizers will stage a demonstration near the mandapam if their demands are not met.
On Sunday, a delegation from the committee visited Hussainsagar to assess the current arrangements, underscoring their urgency for a satisfactory resolution.
