Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for a firm approach to crime while ensuring support for victims during a recent address to police officials. He underscored the critical role of peace and security in driving the state’s development, stating that maintaining law and order is essential to attracting investments.
At a Police Commemoration Day event, Reddy praised the sacrifices made by police personnel, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to law enforcement. “The Telangana police have shown commendable dedication in maintaining peace and security,” he remarked, assuring the families of police martyrs that the government stands firmly with them.
In light of recent incidents involving the desecration of temples and idols in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister urged citizens to remain vigilant. He cautioned against taking the law into their own hands, stating, “If you act out of emotion and resort to violence, you become no different from the miscreants.” He reinforced the police’s role as the legitimate authority equipped to handle and punish offenders.
