Akshay Kumar Responds to Comeback Criticism Amidst Mixed Box Office Performance
Akshay Kumar has faced considerable criticism following the release of fifteen films post-COVID, with only two achieving notable success. Addressing the mounting pressure for a strong comeback, Kumar offered a candid response:
“I always believe whatever happens, happens for good. I don’t overthink or stress myself. Just 4 or 5 films did not run well, and people are sending condolence messages as if I’m dead. People are asking me to give a comeback. All I want to ask those people is, where did I go to come back? I’m very much here. Doing my work non-stop. I will continue to do my work irrespective of what you guys say. I’m earning money with my hard work, not by begging. And, I will continue working the way I do until the end of my life.”
Kumar’s recent release, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ has been noted as one of Bollywood’s major flops. Films such as ‘Selfiee,’ ‘Mission Raniganj,’ and ‘Sarfira’ also struggled at the box office despite receiving mixed to positive reviews from audiences who did see them. This year, Kumar has already seen the release of two films and has ‘Khel Khel Mein’ scheduled for August 15th. Additionally, he has two more films lined up for release later in the year and six others in various stages of production, promising a busy and continued presence in the industry.
