New Delhi: Amit Shah, a prominent leader of the BJP, assumed office as the Union Home Minister for his second consecutive term on Tuesday.
Shah has held this crucial portfolio since 2019. Prior to assuming office, he visited the National Police Memorial in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, to honor policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation.
At 59 years old, Shah was elected from the Gandhinagar constituency in Gujarat during the Lok Sabha elections. In addition to his role as Union Home Minister, he continues to oversee the Ministry of Cooperation.
