Andhra Pradesh Police Thwarts Devineni Avinash’s Bid to Leave Country Amid Investigation
The Andhra Pradesh police have intensified their crackdown on Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) leaders facing legal issues. Following actions against leaders Chevireddy Mohit Reddy and Jogi Rajiv, the focus has now shifted to Devineni Avinash, a prominent YCP member who faced a setback in the 2024 elections.
Avinash, implicated in a case involving the attack on a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Vijayawada, attempted to travel to Dubai last night. However, his plans were thwarted by Andhra Pradesh police.
Upon arriving at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad, Avinash’s travel plans were intercepted after local authorities were alerted by their Andhra Pradesh counterparts. The police, citing the ongoing investigation and Avinash’s alleged involvement in the vandalism case, prevented him from leaving the country. Consequently, Avinash was turned back from the airport.
The Andhra Pradesh police have issued lookout notices and are actively pursuing the investigation related to the TDP office attack. Avinash’s thwarted departure underscores the stringent measures being taken in this high-profile case.
