Hyderabad: AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has leveled serious allegations against leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing them of openly supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in several constituencies across Telangana during the recent Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, June 4, following the announcement of election results, Owaisi expressed disappointment over what he termed as the BRS leaders’ endorsement of the BJP in various seats. He questioned the rationale behind such a political strategy, emphasizing the potential repercussions for the BRS.

In response to Owaisi’s claims, Krishank, the social media convenor of BRS, vehemently denied the allegations, dismissing them as baseless. He defended the party’s stance, highlighting their public criticisms of BJP candidates and asserting their loyalty to their own political principles.

The 2024 Telangana Lok Sabha elections witnessed a closely contested battle among the BJP, Indian National Congress (INC), and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The BJP secured victories in 8 constituencies including Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and Secunderabad, while the INC claimed victories in 8 constituencies such as Zahirabad and Warangal. Meanwhile, AIMIM retained its stronghold in Hyderabad, with Owaisi leading the party to victory in one seat. The BRS, however, faced a notable decline, failing to secure any seats in the elections.

Asad saab,
With due respect every BRS Social Media Warrior posted on the theatrics of Hyderabad BJP Candidate.
KCR garu fielded his most confidante against BJP State President.
You have all liberty to incline towards those in Government but your allegation of BRS working for BJP…
