Builder’s Body Found in Madhya Pradesh: Suspected Murder Investigated
Khargone: The decomposed and half-burnt body of Kishore Lokre, a builder from Maharashtra, was discovered in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, raising suspicions of foul play. Lokre, who had been reported missing, was identified by the Khargone Superintendent of Police, Dharamraj Meena.
The grim discovery occurred on the Daurwa-Binjalwara road, approximately 75 km from Khargone’s district headquarters, on October 9. Police believe Lokre died around ten days prior, with animal bites evident on the remains. His family reported him missing to the MIDC Waluj police station in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on October 3.
According to reports, Lokre traveled to Mumbai for work on September 17 but later diverted to Bhusawal in Jalgaon. His last known location was in Deshgaon, Khandwa district, where his mobile phone was last active on September 27. Investigations suggest Lokre was strangled before an attempt was made to burn his body.
The police have registered a murder case against unidentified suspects and are delving into the circumstances surrounding Lokre’s death. Notably, sources indicate that Lokre had an interest in treasure hunting. The body was returned to Lokre’s family late Wednesday night as the investigation continues.
