Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu is poised to make history as the first Chief Minister in Telugu-speaking regions to serve for a fourth term. Preparations are underway for his swearing-in ceremony in Amaravati.
Today, a legislative meeting was convened among the coalition partners Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP. Addressing the gathering, Naidu outlined his vision for a citizen-centric administration in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also issued a firm message to leaders of the YSR Congress, warning of consequences for any irregularities. Emphasizing a commitment to governance free from vindictiveness, Naidu stressed the necessity of holding wrongdoers accountable to prevent future transgressions.
His remarks on legal accountability are seen in relation to past issues including the state’s sand and liquor policies, among others. Analysts interpret Naidu’s statement as a clear signal to YSR Congress leaders regarding accountability for actions during their previous tenure.
