Chandrababu Naidu Sends Stern Message to Cabinet Ministers on Performance
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently issued a stern warning to his cabinet ministers, informing them that he is closely monitoring their performance. During a recent cabinet meeting, Naidu emphasized that he maintains comprehensive records on the work of each minister and is actively tracking their progress.
The Chief Minister urged ministers to shift from their Secretariat and camp offices and focus more on field visits. He stressed the importance of ministers actively engaging with the public in their assigned districts to understand their needs and address concerns directly.
Naidu expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of certain ministers, particularly highlighting delays in file approvals and the underutilization of available technology. He pointed out that only a few ministers, including Ramanaidu, Sandhya Rani, and Kondapalli Srinivas, had submitted their six-month performance reviews as requested.
Further, the Chief Minister called on ministers to take a more proactive role in resolving political issues and fostering coordination among the three political parties within their districts. He disclosed that an IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) survey was being conducted to assess the ministers’ performance.
In addition, Naidu pointed out that some ministers were failing to adequately promote welfare and development programs via social media, which had allowed opposition parties to spread propaganda without being countered effectively.
Amid speculations about the potential induction of actor Konidela Nagababu into the cabinet, political circles are buzzing with rumors that the Chief Minister may drop three or four ministers soon. Naidu’s recent comments about keeping detailed records of ministerial performance have sparked concern among some of his cabinet members, further intensifying the political climate in the state.
