Chinmayi Highlights Harassment Issues, Says Women Are Not Safe Anywhere
Renowned singer Chinmayi has raised a strong voice against the pervasive issue of harassment, stating that women are not safe anywhere in the world, whether at home or in public spaces. In a recent Instagram video, Chinmayi highlighted an incident on a bus where a man was seen misbehaving with a woman.
Commenting on the disturbing scenario, Chinmayi expressed her frustration, pointing out that such incidents occur regularly, both in public and in private settings. “This is how our country’s transport system is; such individuals exist everywhere,” she remarked, referring to the uncomfortable atmosphere women often face.
She further suggested that parents who want to protect their daughters should consider buying them a scooter for safer mobility. Her message also touched on the harassment women face in other areas, including queues at temples. Chinmayi condemned the mindset of individuals who contribute to such behavior, regardless of a woman’s attire.
Reflecting on the broader issue, Chinmayi stated, “If all men were kept inside their homes, women would feel safe outside. But even if women manage to step out safely, there are still those who harass them at home.” The singer’s powerful post has sparked important conversations about the need for a safer environment for women everywhere.
